Yani, n\u00f6ron \u00f6zellikleri ta\u015f\u0131yor mu?&#8217; sorusuydu. Bunun i\u00e7in de \u00e7ok yeni olan bir yakla\u015f\u0131m uygulad\u0131k.&#8221; dedi.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n hem ya\u015fam s\u00fcresi hem de &#8220;ki\u015fiye \u00f6zel t\u00fcm\u00f6r ilac\u0131&#8221; gibi yeni tedavi y\u00f6ntemleri bulunmas\u0131na etki edebilece\u011fini aktaran Harmanc\u0131, \u015fu bilgileri verdi:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda bir hastada hem glial hem de n\u00f6ronal \u00f6zellikler ta\u015f\u0131yan h\u00fccrelerin yayg\u0131n olmas\u0131 durumunda, hayatta kalma sonu\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131n daha iyi oldu\u011funu g\u00f6rd\u00fck. Bu bulgu, hastalar ve doktorlar\u0131 i\u00e7in \u00f6nemli bir prognoz de\u011feri ta\u015f\u0131yor. Sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 baz\u0131 beyin h\u00fccrelerinde de ayn\u0131 \u00f6zelliklerin oldu\u011funu g\u00f6rd\u00fck ve bu \u00f6zellikleri hastalar\u0131n ya\u015fam s\u00fcresi verileriyle birle\u015ftirdik.&#8221; dedi.<\/p>\n<p>Harmanc\u0131, hastalardan al\u0131nan t\u00fcm\u00f6r h\u00fccrelerinin &#8220;yama dizilimi&#8221; ad\u0131 verilen \u00e7ok yeni bir yakla\u015f\u0131mla &#8220;profillendi\u011fini&#8221; belirterek, \u015f\u00f6yle devam etti:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bu profilleme sonucunda tek bir h\u00fccrenin g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcs\u00fc, yani morfolojisi, elektriksel aktivitesi ve i\u00e7indeki genlerin ne kadar aktif oldu\u011fu bilgisine ula\u015ft\u0131k. Bu profilleme sonucunda elimizde \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir data olu\u015ftu. Bu b\u00fcy\u00fck datay\u0131 anlamland\u0131rmak i\u00e7in beyin t\u00fcm\u00f6rlerine \u00f6zel \u00e7e\u015fitli algoritmalar, programlar geli\u015ftirdik. Bu programlar ve algoritmalar sayesinde bu t\u00fcm\u00f6r h\u00fccrelerinin bir k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n hem glia hem de n\u00f6ron \u00f6zelli\u011fine sahip oldu\u011funu g\u00f6rd\u00fck.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Ki\u015fiye \u00f6zel t\u00fcm\u00f6r ilac\u0131 hedefleniyor<\/h3>\n<p>ABD\u2019deki bilim \u00e7evrelerinde ses getiren ara\u015ft\u0131rma ekibinin \u00fcyesi Akdes Serin Harmanc\u0131, t\u0131p camias\u0131n\u0131 heyecanland\u0131ran \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda hastadaki molek\u00fcler de\u011fi\u015fimleri takip edebildiklerini ve bu sayede ilerde &#8220;ki\u015fiye \u00f6zel t\u00fcm\u00f6r ilac\u0131&#8221; geli\u015ftirilebilece\u011fini s\u00f6yledi.<\/p>\n<p>Harmanc\u0131, &#8220;Yak\u0131n zaman \u00f6nce \u00e7\u0131kan bu derin profilleme deneyleri, yani sekanslama (dizilim) teknikleri sonras\u0131nda ki\u015fiye \u00f6zel molek\u00fcler de\u011fi\u015fiklikleri, mutasyonlar\u0131 ve genlerdeki de\u011fi\u015fiklikleri de bulabiliyoruz. Bunu kullan\u0131p bu ki\u015fiye \u00f6zel bir ila\u00e7 geli\u015ftirdi\u011fimizde tabii ki \u00e7ok daha etkili olmas\u0131n\u0131 bekliyoruz.&#8221; diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00fcrk bilim insan\u0131, t\u00fcm\u00f6rl\u00fc hastadaki genlerin aktiflik durumunun \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fclmesi durumunda, bu aktif h\u00fccrelerin ne kadar az ya da \u00e7ok oldu\u011funun tahmin edilmesinin m\u00fcmk\u00fcn oldu\u011funu, bunun da hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n sonucunu tahmin etmek i\u00e7in fikir verebilece\u011fini belirtti.<\/p>\n<p>\u0130la\u00e7 tedavilerinde genelde t\u00fcm\u00f6re \u00f6zel mekanizmalar\u0131n hedeflendi\u011fini aktaran T\u00fcrk ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131, &#8220;O y\u00fczden umuyoruz ki ila\u00e7 tedavilerinde de bu yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n bir faydas\u0131 olacakt\u0131r.&#8221; dedi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tabii ki bunun tam olarak i\u015flevinin anla\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 i\u00e7in daha fazla ara\u015ft\u0131rma yap\u0131lmas\u0131 gerekiyor.&#8221; diye konu\u015fan Harmanc\u0131, bu alanda bir &#8220;\u00f6nc\u00fc&#8221; olarak niteledi\u011fi ara\u015ft\u0131rmay\u0131 takip eden yeni \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n yap\u0131lmas\u0131 ve bunu klinik anlamda da \u00e7e\u015fitli uygulamalar\u0131n takip etmesi umudunu payla\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n<h3>Yapay zeka, t\u0131bbi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 kolayla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131yor<\/h3>\n<p>Akdes Serin Harmanc\u0131, ara\u015ft\u0131rmalarda sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 sonu\u00e7lara ula\u015fmak i\u00e7in daha b\u00fcy\u00fck verilere ihtiya\u00e7 duyuldu\u011funu, bunun da ancak bir\u00e7ok alandan farkl\u0131 uzmanlar\u0131n ortak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131n yapay zeka teknolojisiyle desteklenmesi sonucu m\u00fcmk\u00fcn oldu\u011funu belirtti.<\/p>\n<p>Harmanc\u0131, ABD\u2019nin prestijli &#8220;Cancer Cells&#8221; isimli bilimsel dergisi ile sa\u011fl\u0131k i\u00e7erikli bir\u00e7ok gazete ve internet sayfas\u0131nda yay\u0131mlanan yeni \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131ndaki zengin veri taban\u0131na ula\u015fmak i\u00e7in yapay zeka teknolojinden de faydaland\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yledi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Art\u0131k her \u015fey i\u00e7 i\u00e7e, interdisiplinel oldu.
